Rainbow fish on screen

It was a colorful day at OPES as teachers and children kicked off Read Across America Week with Rainbow Fish Day! Students heard great books about color like Rainbow Fish (a colorful book about sharing), What's My Favorite Color? where Eric Carle and 15 other illustrators shared stories and illustrations about their favorite color, and Why is Blue Dog Blue? by George Rodrigue - the same artist currently on display at the Carnegie in Decatur! Students also had opportunities to create and share about their favorite colors, too! We are scholars and creators!

Tomorrow is Ada Twist, Scientist Day! Wear a white jacket or shirt like a lab coat for our science themed day!
