Holidays include the joy of special foods. When third grade teachers found that many students had not had the opportunity to discover the many fabulous flavors of pie, they planned a wonderful family pie tasting family event. So many families were able to enjoy different flavors of pie on Wednesday, making memories with our classmates and parents. Students used math skills all week to talk about fractions and the many ways to split a pie and adding and subtracting those fractions, as well as graphing the favorite flavors. Thanks to our fabulous staff, learning is SWEET at OPES!
