OPES had a joyous day of 50s fun for the 50th day of school! Teachers and students wore 1950's styles. We played 50s music for morning arrival. Students in gym timed themselves to see who could hula hoop the longest. The school record is held by Patrice Robinson at an impressive 15 minutes! Students counted collections of objects, charted who could and could not blow bubbles with bubble gum, and had more grade level 50s fun in math and reading. We had a soda shop photo opp and several classes celebrated the day with Coke floats. Thank you to all the teachers and staff that make OPES a place where the learning never stops.
OPES- Great things are happening here!
