Hello and welcome to Oak Park Elementary School.
I was asked recently what I love about my job. After 17 years of being a school administrator I am happy to say that children are still the most rewarding part of my job. As a matter of fact, my staff will often hear me say that children are the easiest part of my job. The main reason I wanted to become a principal is to mentor faculty so students learn from teachers and other staff who feel supported. I want to help them follow best practices that positively impact learning outcomes.
I am the wife of District 1 Decatur City Councilman Billy Jackson. I have worked for the school system since 1997. My resume includes working as a second-grade teacher at Walter Jackson Elementary and assistant principal at the former Brookhaven Middle School. I am excited about starting a new school year. I look forward to all the great things ahead in 2022-2023.
Mrs. Theodoria "Teddi" Jackson
